Jeff Ruttencutter   DDS PhD

 

Dr. Jeff Ruttencutter completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine.  He attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and graduated magna cum laude from Cornell College. 

 

Dr. Ruttencutter has distinguished himself as both a clinician and academician.  He has been elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and to the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society.  He received a fellowship grant from the National Institute of Health to help support his dental training and PhD research.  He has presented his wound healing research at national meetings in Washington DC, Bethesda, Memphis, and Chicago.  Dr. Ruttencutter has enjoyed seeing patients and practicing clinical dentistry in the Chicagoland area.

Dr. Ruttencutter’s excellence as a clinician and researcher has been recognized by the following awards:

  • American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics 

  • OKU College of Dentistry Clinic & Research Day Basic Science Research Award

  • Quintessence Award for Academic Achievement 

  • Dr. Stanley Tylman Award for complete oral treatment of the highest quality to a patient 

  • Chicago Dental Society Dental Academic Scholarship
